WELCOME

On August 21 the 2004 District 10 Summer Picnic once again lived up to its 12-year reputation of being the great summer event. Here everyone basked in the glow of the many huge Republican successes in the recent primaries. In addition everyone enjoyed Republican fellowship with friends, great music and great speeches.

1. Gilmer Chairman Mary Jones with Bill and Diane Adams of Dade County. The Bush hats were a popular idem of the day.	2. The Truett Moss band, "County T" entertained during the festivities. The 17 year old violinist gave a powerful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.	3. County T band members gave a tremendous performance. Many thanks!
4. Chase Murray and Ben Satterfield of Gwinnett, Wesley Clark of Hall and Louise Little of Fannin County. Bettye Chambers of Hall County was behind the camera.	5. Surprise guest of the day - Abraham Lincoln, the Father of our Republican Party. Homer Sewell of Jasper has been posing for 20 plus years, 40 states and does it free!	6. Chip Pearson speaks to the crowd about Oscar Poole's book. Chip recently won big in the Republican Primary for State Senate District 51.
7. Congressman Nathan Deal and wife Sandra enjoy the great barbeque. Later Congressman Deal gave an inspiring and informative speech as only he can deliver.	8. District 3 - Rep. Ron Forster and wife Yvette. Ron recently won his primary race and has no opposition in November.	9. Robert Jones (right), Commissioner-elect of Pickens County, talks with Janet and Gus Pries.
10. Gus Pries passes the hat to collect funds for Florida victims of recent hurricane Charley. This is the 10th District's Compassion Across America Project.	11.
