Sue Everhart, Chairman of the GA GOP, asked me many months ago to run for delegate from the 9th District this year so I could again take photos and create daily photo essay web pages of events on the floor of the convention plus the social events. Plans are to include videos in the daily web pages this year. This will be done on behalf of the 9th District and the GA GOP.

Since I am once again only an alternate, it will be difficult to gain access to the convention floor to record major events. Alternate delegates are seated in the high rise bleacher sections of the hall far away from the floor and the stage. Alternates are allowed on the floor for only a few minutes each night making it is very difficult to do this job properly. Therefore, floor photos may be few and far between ;- ) I was advised that it would be next to impossible for me to be elected a delegate at the State Convention since these slots are usually reserved for elected officials and other dignitaries.

In my hotel room I shall edit the photos and videos and create daily web pages on my laptop. Links to these daily photo pages will be e-mailed back to the GA GOP headquarters where a staff member will forward them on daily to the huge GA GOP e-mail list across the state. Sue received many favorable comments on this four years ago since this helped our GA Republicans at home feel connected personally to the GA Delegation and to the convention via candid behind the scenes photos.
