GOTV (Get out the vote efforts)/

DOOR-TO-DOOR

North Georgia Storms North Carolina

This is an opportunity to volunteer for Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin for 1 day in a battleground state, North Carolina.  We are asking that volunteers bring $10 or something fair for gas money for the trip.  Lunch and T-Shirts or lapel badges will be provided.  It is tough work, but we think it needs to be done.  We will arrange transportation as a group, meet with locals in NC, and go door to door.  One or more fifteen passenger vans, or perhaps a bus will be available in Ringgold.  We understand that it may take a while to reach our GA departure point as well as our NC arrival point, however, we do believe that we will have better participation and success if we do this in one day.  There is one stop planned on the trip both there and back for a restroom break and snacks, so please plan accordingly.  Please plan to join us if you can, and do contact us with any questions that you may have. Please RSVP to either nathan@northwestgeorgiayr.com or gopgeorgia@earthlink.net ASAP!

The Stephen Allison campaign (the only state house race in the 9th district with a Democratic incumbent) will be doing door-to-door in Blairsville the next two weekends (October 25 and November 1)-contact 706-897-5290.

The Jeff Mullis campaign will need volunteers on election day and election night for activities and forwarding precinct results. For additional information, call Kailor Gordy at (423) 313-6691.

Forsyth County will have five locations we’d like to have sign waiving during the weekend:

1) Hwy 20 / Buford Hwy
In front of Starbucks by North Forsyth Hospital

2) Cumming Courthouse
110 N. Main St./Gazebo

3) Hwy 141 @ the Avenue Forsyth
Near Starbucks

4) McGinnis Ferry & Hwy. 141/Medlock Br.

5) Hwy. 369 / Hwy. 306

If you already have materials, take your signs, stickers, music and smiles to any of the locations above and get waving!  If you need materials, swing by the Forsyth GOP headquarters first. If you have any questions, contact our volunteer coordinator, Stella Lohman at 770-374-3633
